History 1950
The company went through hard times after the war. A major part of the income came from a commuting service for a chemical company in Leverkusen. The used bus had survived the war by chance, but it had to be repaired at high expenses. As there were no antifreezing compounds available, in winter it was necessary to get up at 3.00 am in order to heat the cooling water. The spark plugs were taken out in the evening and stored next to the oven. They were re-installed the next morning, so the vehicle could start properly. The aim of all these efforts was to arrive in Leverkusen at 5:45 am sharp.
